Instances have come to the notice of the District Administration Office that some Heads of Office under Lunglei District are in the practice of leaving their station /headquarter without prior intimation to or seeking the approval f the Deputy Commissioner. This practice is viewed seriously and should not kept on whatsoever as it leads to indiscipline and poor work culture in District Offices, eventually affecting the efficiency and smooth functioning of District Administration and the Government as whole.

In view of the above, All Heads of offices are hereby instructed to remain in their respective station /headquarter at all times and if leaving of station / headquarter is unavoidable whether for the purpose of Official tour or other exceptional circumstances, prior permission of the Deputy Commissioner must be obtained. In case of leave other than casual Leave, The Deputy Commissioner may be intimated of the leave including the duration, kind of leave availed and address during such leave period.
